I had terribly swollen feet after my first baby was born. I avoided this with the next 2 by elevating the foot of my bed slightly (about 10 - 20 degrees) while in the hospital after birth. It made a difference. My feet are a size bigger now than before I had children. This doesn't happen to everyone. Luck of the draw, I guess.

Not true. My feet were balloons when I had my first baby and one day, about 3 days after birth, I woke up with boney feet!! Same thing with my 2nd and with #3, due to unseasonably warm weather in my area, I can see my feet puffing as we speak! I've gone back to original size everytime.

i think it's true.. i was size 7 (shoe size) before i was pregnant and after i had my baby i am now 71/2 or 8 and i weight less now than before i was pregnant. so yes i think feet can't go back to old size that you use to be... i am my own proof of that..
