If its a male I expect that person to be a complete n total moron. I'm not being sexist but every president we have had all male have screwed America over one way or another. If its a female i expect the war to end a lot faster, and people will stop hating America so much. women are more peaceful. While guys on the other hand enjoy blowing things up so much they don't care if someone get hurt. No offense.

I want a president, male-female-black-white-or other, who will make sound, progressive policy decisions based on maximizing personal liberties, securing energy independence, maintaining our military readiness, protecting our environment and our health, and promoting the ideals of the Declaration of Independence. And, I expect all of these policies to be formed in an environment free from the undue influence of religious zealotry.

I could not care less about their character flaws...in fact, I don't trust apparently flawless people. I only care about the wisdom of their policies.

Good Luck!

I expect they will have difficulty getting theirs plans implimented, republican or democrat. I have never seen such partisan politics in DC and each person worrying about their own share of the pie. To paraphrase the movie 1776 (speaking of the NY legislature):
"Everyone talks very fast and very much and as a result nothing gets done"
This has reached its zenith once the democrats took Congress.

God bless you too.

A decider that decides and doesn't have to tell everyone he/she is the decider.

competence, honesty, and listening to the will of the people.
Restore America's good name.

Fix the problems with deficits, end the war and bring our people home. Go after and get Osama Bin Laden and AlQaeda.

Affordable healthcare phased in starting with children going to elderly and then everyone else.

Support with more than words, a program to make America self energy sufficient using renewable energy quickly. The research and manufacture of machines needed for this done by American labor. Sell the technology to our allies and everyone else buying Middle Eastern oil. (no more than 10 years)

Undo the Patriot Act and other repressive laws and restore our rights in full. Work with Congress on ways to pay for what Bush borrowed to pay for his war. To restore the Clintionesque style balanced budget and surplus.

Shore up social security and make sure FEMA is ready for a major disaster.

Make sure our country is secure at our borders and when intellegence says there is a danger pay attention and do something about it before they do to us.

Publicly protest the war crimes trial (wink, wink) of Bush and Cheney.

Make it easier to get funding for someone who desires a higher education.

Secure our Southern border against further illegal immigration.

Give incentives for companies to stay here rather than go off shore.

Keep middle class tax cuts and raise taxes for the filty rich.

Knowing Americans, probably a blanket, alienating, illogical statement like 'God Bless You All' to begin the presidential year.

If you asked what I would like to see from the next President, I dont think I would have enough time to answer. Brains, no religious bias, support of international law and institutions, a socialist, someone with the ability to ignore his country's petty, stupid voters and actually do what is right for a change.

A way out of the quagmire in Iraq and a return to fiscal economic sanity.

1. A trillion dollar debt? No wonder there are so many bankruptcies and people losing their homes.

2. What did GOP expect when they insalled a barely funcitonal moron in the president's office? He did not shut up and let Cheney, Rumsfeld and Rove run the country into the ground - yet.

3. What is Runnmy doing these days anyway? Probably visiting the wounded troops in hospital. They want to see his smiling face (in a casket).

REALLY?

I expect the next president to do the same crap the last 3 have done. Pretty much nothing positive.

I would like to see otherwise, but I just dont EXPECT it to happen.
