Hi. i have two dell computers, one is conected to my DSL has the modem and all, but i want to get wireless internet into the second one that is on my son room. what do i need to buy? just the wirelss router,

You will need a wireless router to send the internet signal to the other room, and a wireless network card for the second computer so it can receive the signal and communicate with the router.
If you have a desktop, you can get a network card that goes into the back of the machine. Best Buy or a similar store sells these cards and can even install it for you for a fee.
If you have a laptop, chances are the computer already has a wireless adapter built in. If not, you can get one that plugs into the thick credit card like slot most laptops have called PCMCIA slot.
I've heard of wireless adapters that can plug into the USB port of a computer (for both a desktop and laptop) which may be the simplest one to install, but I have no experience with it so I dont know how well they work.
Once the hardware is installed, you may need to call your internet provider to have them walk you through configuring the second machine and the router to get them to communicate with each other..

You will need a wireless router and a wireless network card if the computer in your son's bedroom doesnt already have one installed.

yeah a wireless router would be needed ... also check if that computer has a wireless network card ...if not you will need one ... next thing you would need is an ISP (Internet Service Provider)

sure. I actually have 2 different computer computers right here in the homestead that are operating on my wifi on the prompt. I went to workplace Depot and offered USB prompt adapters. right here's the adapter i'm making use of. Linksys by ability of Cisco Duel-Band prompt-N USB Adapter WUSB600N it may be offered at workplace Depot or best purchase.

You need to buy a netgeer drive. It plugs into a USB pport. If you dont have a router yet get one. Go to bestbuy they can help you get the rite one.
