Is it because they focus their efforts on increasing the economic base (working class) versus giving tax breaks to the super rich who write 60% of their income off anyway?

Apparently Greg K. has never been to the liberal Northeast.

You've already figured out that a society needs taxes to thrive. The idiots South of the Mason-Dixon still haven't figured this out. The Red States that aren't living in squalor are those which have experienced an influx of Northerners in the last few decades... enough so to create real changes in their infrastructures.

The rest are still trying to figure things out but in the mean time, like our little genius controbutor, Greg, they just blame the n****rs and hope no one will notice that they (the accusers) are actually the ones screwing their offspring out of decent futures.

I don't know that I agree with your premise. The South has become an economic powerhouse. Atlanta is thriving financially, so is Charlotte, Houston, Dallas, Phoenix and plenty of other places.

Recent census statistics on the 100 fastet-growing counties show two-thirds are in the South. The 15 Southeastern States' joint economy would rank as the third-largest in the world. Georgia alone has the 17th largest economy in the world, larger than Singapore, Hong Kong or Saudi Arabia.
Fiber-optic cable was developed in the South. Atlanta has three times more fiber-optic lines than New York City and is at the most significant fiber-optic intersection in North America. Nearly a third of the fortune 500 companies have headquarters in the South also.
Minority Southerners complete high school at the same rate as whites. The percentage of minority Southerners with college degrees tripled in the past 25 years. When Newsweek named the highest ranked high schools, seven of the top 10 were in the South, with 22 of the top 50.

Even New York has a Republican Governor and a Republican Mayor of NYC. Even though Massachusetts is considered a pretty liberal state, they had a whole string of Republican Governors from 1997-2007.

The blue states produce more revenue than red states by average. I've never researched the exact reason but would think it has to do with more industry in the north and liberals having more advanced degrees in general...

There are people who dispute the information by employing slandering the messenger. MR

Liberals are good in economy by giving incentives for the poor to work to have more taxes as against the Republicans who initiated the tax cuts but in favor of the rich people.

I write off 60% of my income? I better discuss that with my accountant.

Why do you post questions that:
a. your initial premise is unsupportable and
b: you already have an answer for yourself

And I live in a relatively rural (conservative) area of the US, and our economy is thriving.

apparently, according to conservatives, liberals don't understand economics...

so... apparently... the less you know about economics.. the better your economy is?

hahaha

but seriously... spend more on education... better students, better workers when they get out of school...

also, increasing the economic base helps... like you say...

California alone is like the world's fifth largest economy or something... and it's pretty much the most liberal state in the union...

This is a very complicated question, to which you obviously posted your own answer. Not sure what your actual question would be at this point.

Because the liberal northeast is virtually all white and the conservative south is filled with blacks that don't work

Boogity - The only rich sections in New York are the white ones. The ones filled with nonwhites are some of the most **** regions in the US, they resemble 3rd world countries. Also, the richer whiter regions vote republican. The facts are on my side, sorry that the truth hurts you liberal p*ssies so much. Look it up.
