hey girl don't feel bad it happends all the time...

there is a trick to get almost any percentages:

if 50.000 is 100%, what is 25% <<<< this is your original question right?

now u write it in math this way:

(50.000 / x) = (1 / 0.25)

then u solve for x:

x = (50.000*0.25) / 1
x= 12.500

this works for all the percentages the only thing is that u need to know the basic percent to decimal table:

1=100% , 0.9=90% , 0.8=80% ... 0.25=25% ... 0.1=10% ... and so forth.

hey if u can , go to a community college and check the mathematics departments for free books on basic arithmetic.

hope this was helpfull

If you find this kind of question, in that order, you simply multiply 25% by 50,000...such that what is the % OF something actually means % MULTIPLY by that something.

Thus 25% x 50,000 = 12,500

Percentage is actually N over 100 or N/100, where N is any interger.

To convert to decimal number, just move the point (dot) 2 places to the left from whole number, such that

25 % = .25
12.5 % = .125
2% = .02 and so forth

If the question is " 30 is what percent of 90" , just divide the first number by the second number. thus

30 over 90 or 30/90 = .33 or 33% , just multiply the product by 100 to convert it to percent.

TO ADD PERCENT, just add as if you are adding intergers.

Example : 20% + 25% + 30 % = 75%
as if you are adding .20 + .25 + .30 = .75 or
adding 20/100 + 25/100 + 30/100 = 75/100

If the numbers to be added has decimals, just align the dots and add, such that 3.5% + 0.57% + 12.3%

3.5%
+ 0.57%
12.3%
-----------------
16.37%
Just remember that 3.5% is also equal to 3.50% or 3.500% 05 3.5000%

1% of $1.00 is one penny. 10% of $1.00 is one dime and so on. So, 10% of $10.00 would be $1.00.

25% is one quarter of the $50.000...so this means it is divided by 4 (another way of saying it would be 1/4 of 50.000) 50.000 divided by 4 = 12.500. You will also get this same answer by multiplying 50.000 x .25=12.500. Multiplying is actually the correct way of doing it, but I find that mentally breaking the numbers down in terms of money, works for me.

50 x .25 =x solve for x.
when multiplying by percents, change to decimals by moving point two spaces to the left.

ok, i think of i comprehend what you propose; if i'm the perfect option, you're given some sort of chart or some thing, itemizing colorings and the style of persons that like a undeniable color. to detect a share in this problem, you may upload up all the persons, divide people who like blue by the full style of persons, and multiply by one hundred. this could be somewhat perplexing, so permit me supply you an occasion. permit's say that 10 people like blue, and ninety like pink. We get the full style of persons by including people who like blue to those that like pink: ninety+10=one hundred we've a entire of one hundred people, of which 10 cherished blue, so now we could divide 10 by one hundred: 10/one hundred= 0.one million Multipy this by one hundred: 0.one million*one hundred=10 this could be our share; subsequently, 10% of the persons in my occasion cherished blue; i'm hoping this facilitates :)
