I know so. I know this is a pretty ballsy statement considering everything that Manning has accomplished, but I think that if each of these guys went to the other team... Ryan Leaf would have 2 MVP awards and really nice looking records while Peyton Manning was stuck in QB purgatory. Peyton would of sucked with a less then stellar recieving corps and got frustrated and started blaming everyone else... ya know, like he does now... accept he knows he has it too good so you always catch him biting his tongue. Ryan Leaf would of excelled on the Colts just like any QB could do with an offense like that and would of been biting his tongue when he blew games over there. It's frustrating how obvious it is... what do you guys think?

Nope you're crazy!!! No matter where Manning went he was going to be a class act. Leaf was a time bombing waiting to happen. He already started to show signs of that in college. The Colts did a great job on draft day, and the Chargers did a horrible job. I personally think Leaf is the worst top 5 pick ever in the history of the NFL. At least the other who did bad don't have the reputation like Leaf does.

Thats not a ballsy statement , its unquestionably the most insane thing I've ever heard.
Leaf is what he is. An obnoxious, uncoachable, piece of cluhouse cance no matter what teams roster he's on

Manning makes everybody around him better. Also, had the Chargers drafted Manning, they would have realized the next order of business was getting better at the reciever position.

And bye the way, what in the world would make anybody think that having LT and a good running game means you can't have PM and agood passing game as well?

So, it wouldn't be role reversal. It would have been team reversal. The Chargers would have won the Super Bowl.

Now that's what might actually be considered a ballsy statement

Actually I know you are wrong. Leaf had his attitude problem EVERYWHERE he went. Even when he left San Diego. I also don't think that the Colts had the best WRs when Manning got there. Remember he was 3-13 his first year? Actually seems to me that Leaf had his problems in College as well. Look how long it took Manning to have a team with a Defense so he could get a ring, yet had he become Leaf? Nice attempt at a sale BUT if left out Leaf's history.

I think Manning would be fighting for a job in San Diego if he was drafted by them, but Leaf would not have been successful. Like him or not, Manning puts in a ton of work both on and off of the field. Leaf was very lazy and felt that he was entitled to be where he was at. Remember that he refused possible assignment to NFL Europe for refining his skills. Manning would have gone. Leaf does not nor did he ever have the mentality to be a successful QB in the league. How long do you think it would take before Edgerrin James or Marvin Harrison started complaining about how little Leaf was willing to work? The Colts would have imploded and the same mess would happen.

The good press hide tale is the $28 million "earnings cap" has been reached; the contractual situations have exceedingly a lot been met and the Colts are transferring ahead with Andrew success. Manning nicely knew this replaced into to be anticipated: He ignored the finished 2011 season, in the course of weeks / months of restore, Manning watched the bond form between Indy and success---and given his injuries and medical costs, the Colts share of coverage co-pay duties also had a vocal say of their decision to shrink Manning from the team. in short: no individual is shortchanging the different; Manning and the Colts are professionals and could section corporation w/ no not straightforward emotions. that's everyone's guess the position Manning is going from there.

Role reversal? You mean a reversal of fortunes? Uh.....no.

When PM was drafted, Marvin Harrison was already a Colt. So, he did have that going for him. However, the Colts were terrible as a team, and when PM was drafted, he was given the starting QB job right away. He took his lumps his forst season, but even towards the end of this he showed what his future would be---he has started every game in his career, and much of the player he is is a direct result of tireless game preparation----watching film, knowing the playbook like his own name, working during his off hours with his receivers, etc. He runs the offense in Indy.......he'll get the play in from the sideline, but he is completely free to change it as he sees fit, with the blessing of Tom Moore, the offensive co-ordinator. This is direct testament to PM's abilities, but it is doubtful any other coach would have done this, as Indy is unique in ths. So, for all of PM's abilities, he probably would not have been able to showcase all of this talent in San Diego. Indy has allowed him to flourish.

Ryan Leaf......none of this at all. Simply lazy, unmotivated, overrated, he would have been poor no matter where he went, just like Heath Shuler. The Colts would have suffered with him, as they did have and were accruing talent, but it would have been wasted with him at the helm.

The Colts would have been solid had they drafted Ryan Leaf, but nowhere as good as they became with PM. The Chargers would have been good with PM, but PM himself would not have been. Neither in my opinion would be a Super Bowl Champ. Ryan Leaf would still suck in either situation

No, that is idiotic. Having watch how dismal Leaf was with the Chargers, I know he would have been just as bad with any other team.
Manning, even on a team that is more of a running threat, would have been capable of improvising and leading the team. I am not saying that he would have made that year's team a champion, but it would not have been as bad as with Leaf.

Yeah Leaf would have been horrible for the Colts instead of the Bolts! Manning is who he is and wants to win. Leaf is like his name blowing in the wind and tossed around!

I say no....Leaf didn't have it. He had far inferior field vision and most damning...he had a horrible attitude. He was lazy, arrogant in the extreme, and possessed of an incredible sense of entitlement. The power of the AFC would be the Chargers if this happened...Manning wouldn't have done as well his first few years, but now....my God....
