It depends on what you mean by acting your age. If it means to obey the law, then you should act your age as soon as you know right from wrong and that should be around 8 years old.

If it means to follow the rules of your parents, it should mean you should act what ever age appropriate rules your parents have set down.

If people saying they don't want to ever act their age, I agree if it means they just want to continue to have fun. There is nothing wrong with wanting to have fun and act silly and act up as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else and as long as it is within reason.

18 years old because you are now legally responsible for yourself. So whatever trouble you get into you are going to have to face the consequences. You are also resonsible for any debts you make don't get into credit card debt like I did. get an education while you are young and travel. Settle down and have kids between 28 and 35. Enjoy your youth it is going to past by very fast.

the question is now, how do you know how to act at what age. what makes us think that there are ways to act at certain levels of life. Life is different to every body. a fourteen year old with a baby has to act way older. a 40 year old with a light carear and no spouce or child is free to act like he/she is in the 20's. So I conclude that one is to act as one feels depending on the curcumstances.

Act the age you want to be instead of the age you are ... as long as it doesn't make you look ridiculous!

Never.

Who said we have to grow old because we grow up?

Throwing yourself on the floor, having temper tantrums after age 3 is not acceptable, but otherwise it is quite fine to be child like, just not childish.

I am 55 years old, and still have trouble at times.

It is more important to act like you than to act your age.

Just act as old as you feel.....with in reason of course.
When people whom I've known awhile find out that I'm in my late 50's, they act really surprised. They thought I was much younger, which doesn't hurt my feelings.

The age you are when you think you are wise enough to leave the nest and take on the real world.
