When you were a kid,did you ever get your mouth washed out with soap?Literally?Cause you know after our generation,parents go to jail for something like that.

no but i did get spanked....usually with the bare hand but my mom had a wooden paddle that was in the shape of a hand with some clever little saying on it about spanking naughty children and she had sometimes used it on me. I believe one day I hid it from her and then threw it away.....I probably got spanked for that too.....
Seriously though...I didn't get spanked very often. I always deserved it and I don't feel the manner that I was spanked was abusive in anyway.
I know that I severely steered in a totally different direction that your question was actually going....sorry about that....nope, never had my mouth washed out with soap....

Yes i did and if parents would do now maybe this world would'nt be in the shape it's in now . Let parents be the parent and not ( I just want to be my childs best friend) that is B.S. act like a parent and maybe you will get more respect from your kids instead of ( if you touch me i will call the cops on you)

In my day we had to listen to Styx albums on hand cranked record players and we had to walk five miles in the snow up a steep hill just to get an ugly teacher to make out with us behind the gym.

yeah i did, and that is what's wrong with today's kids. they have video games and no social interaction. people at school tell them they aren't supposed to be spanked or disciplined and almost anything you do these days can be twisted into abuse. I feel for the generation of tomorrow cause they are lazy fartheads!

Oh yeah! There's ALOT of things our parents did back then that they would be put in jail for today. The government has their nose where it doesn't belong. We (most of us) turned out okay. And we respect our parents too.

No. Because my Mom knew where I had heard that language. She would tell me not to say those words. I nearly made her faint when I said the really bad 4 letter word. I heard that one from a neighborhood boy.
