I know exactly how you feel. I switched web hosts 5 times before I found one that had everything I wanted.
I have been with them over a year now and am very happy there. I have never had a problem with scripts not working, going over bandwidth or anything esle.
I have 15 sites hosted with them all under 1 plan! I only pay $14.95 a month and can add unlimited sites, databases, subdomains etc. They have it all. I also really liked the fact that you can pay monthly instead of yearly. They also have 99.9% uptime guarantee which is great!
There customer service is top notch. I receive a response within 15 minutes of emailing , everytime! They also have free phone support as well. They have even helped me with a prebought script I had trouble installing which is Not even a web host's job to fix.
Here's the addy:

Good Luck !
I know you will be happy with them and never have to switch again:)

I've used many web hosting services during the past 10 years, and my favorite by far has been Dreamhost (dreamhost.com). They have plans starting at $7.95/month that have unlimited domain hosting, 24 hour tech support, tons of software that installs in just one click, and more storage and bandwidth than I've seen anyone else offer. They had some growing pains a while back and had to upgrade their systems and facilities - since then they've been incredibly reliable and stable.
If you decide to go with Dreamhost, use the following coupon code for up to $90 off your first year of hosting:
WORDPRESSDEAL
Good luck.

I have been in the Internet marketing business for 10 years and I would say that your hosting depends on your needs. That is, do you need a shopping cart? The ability to accept credit cards? Do you plan to be in the media and get a ton of traffic (which has to be supported for more than $20 a month). These are just some of the questions to ask.
I would first suggest you start with http://www.QuotesDelivered.com - they will get you FREE qualified quotes from leading web hosting companies: http://www.quotesdelivered.com/hosting.html
If you do need a shopping cart, I reccomend Miva carts and the host - http://www.hostasaurus.com/ very reliable and priced right.
Hope this helps . . .
