if u have a valid passport there shouldn't be a problem . if you are wanted for anything or if any typoe of warrants are out then you better stay put. Singapore is a great place. very clean, very hygeine and very civilized, they are very strict in keeping singapore this way as well. a valid us passport holder does not require any visa to visit as a tourist to singapore, upon passport scan at immigration if u r a wanted felony then u r just been gotten. but if thats the case u probably would never make it out of the US. never attempt anything illegal in SG they do not put up with any junk. very nice people truly asian culture many different nationalities in singapore, such as singaporean, malaysian, filipino, vietmaneese, chineese, will also find that more americans are visiting singapore some actually live in singapore.

United States citizens does not require a visa to visit Singapore. However, due to your circumstance, generally you will be required to have a visa granted prior to arrival.

There is no simple answer to your question, it depends on the individual circumstance of each visa applicant. It never hurt to apply, make sure you state all the facts and hope for the best, the worst they can say is 'No'.

Check out the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority website from the Singapore Government or visit your nearest Singapore Embassy or Consulate.
