okay... well i have a backstabber friend named ashley and a crush named diego. diego has a crush on me, and him and ashley broke up on friday. in fact the reason they broke up was me. ashley came this year, and well she's a good friend of mine, and yeah... but she's backstabbed me too many times. i know i will forgive her someday... but should i go out with diego, or find a new guy to crush on? i mean... i liked him first. after i told her that i liked him, she "liked" him too... i don't know what to do right now... :(

Ashley does not sound like a friend at all ....beware Diego may be crushing on you because he knows it will bother Ashley. Don't get sucked to their level of play as you sound like a kind person ..being able to forgive backstabbing and all....
Let them cool of first don't get in the way if Diego and you are meant to be it will happen in good time

Your situation is the most common teenage situation in all teenage history, Girl has a crush on boy, then best friend gets a crush on boy, they start going out, They break up, and You become rebound girl, If he liked you soo much why didn't he ask you out instead of her? This is whats gonna happen if you go out with him. Its gonna pis off Ashley, your gonna make her into your worst enemy, then the friends you had together are gonna be on her side and call you nasty names, Your probably gonna go out with him for a week, then hes gonna move onto someone else, but your still gonna be stuck with the catty girls, I say just find another dude, there are way too many guys out there, there all the same too. So just move on and next time dont tell Ashley who your crushing on.

The friendship is probably more valuable than the guy. Sorry to say this, but, even if you guys get together it probably won't be a romance to last the ages. That's just how it is. I always hated hearing that when I was younger. I'm guessing I sound like an obnoxious old fart.
Friends trump boyfriends anyday--even if they're really cute.

Well, if she's a real backstabber then you shouldn't hang out with her. Do you want to sacrifice your friendship over a guy you really like or does that friendship mean more to you than him? But chances are if she backstabs you I'd go out with him because if you don't she will and it will hurt more..

if she's stabbed youin the back she's not a good friend and she's not gonna be there for you always i say if you like the guy date him. i used to have a "friend" that evry time i got with a guy she'd like them to n she always wanted to mess with them i'd have to find guys for her so she'd leave mine alone then they weren't the ones she wanted it was so bad that on my b-dad i went to bed early my man was sleeping beside me n she was on my other side when i woke up she was in between us. then evry one was telling me that while i wasnt' around she was all over him n he kept pushing her off i chose to let this go b/c i felt sorry for her she had a confidence problem but it never changed 6 months later my boyfriend and i had just got done doing it i went to the bathroom n when i came back she was giving him head. i had to kick both of them to the curb to say the least i was a bit pissed. good luck hope it works out fo ryou but remember once a backstabber always a backstabber

you know what?, just i mean if you like him a lot go out with him and show your little friend that you arent gonna take this back stabbing crap. i mean im sure you and your friend will make up again but for now you need to show her youll do what you want.

alrite, one shes not a true friend if she "backstabbed" you, if you want to go out with the guy then go out with him, if its just to get back at her then forget about it, you shouldnt let her waste your time, and then also before you make the decision to go out with him, why did they break up? if he cheated on her, hurt her, or anything i dont think that you should go out with him cause just cause he did it to her doesnt mean that he wont do it to you. so think hard on those things. and dont waste your time on worthless people.

it seems like this "diego" guy is driving you nuts....just move on, no guy is worth that much (except me, but thats different)....there are a million fish in the sea (but only one male model like me)

well if she dated him and knew that you liked him, then I dont see a problem with you dating him......she will get over it. and if she is a back staber than she wasnt much of a friend in the first place.
