No extra night time lighting is neccesary. Bearded Dragons can see diffrent color wave lengths, red included, that are in the light. This can disrupt their sleeping habits.
The temperature can drop down to almost 65 at night and they will be fine. If you get any lower then that Get a ceramic heat emitter and turn it on at night, this puts out no light but does put off heat.
Ideally you want a 10 hour period of no lights and a 14 hour period of UV/Heat lights. You can shorten the light hours if you want during the winter if your dragon brumates (hibernation).

Does the sun stay up 24-7?
These are diurnal lizards that require a natural light cycle to be healthy. If you live in a freezer or something and just have to have extra night time heat, then use an undertank heater or heat projector that produces no light.
If you have any more questions, see: www.anapsid.org
There is more reptile ( and Beardie ) applicable information there than you will probably ever read. Melissa Kaplan is one of the most respected and well known authorities on Iguana and general reptile husbandry. Read all the information, even if it doesn't mention Bearded Dragons. Most of it applies to all reptiles.
You really need to get cracking on the basics and work overtime learning something about reptiles before you kill it.

You don't have to leave the light on at night if you have a heat rock in there for them. I turn the lights off in my bearded dragons cags at night. It usually doesn't bother them because I have a heat rock in each of their cages. I also live in Florida, so it doesn't get that cold. But, if you live somewhere where it is cold than, yes I would leave the lights on all the time. It also depends on the watt of the bulb when it is on if you should have a heat rock in there or not if the get cold when the light is on. I recomend a 75 or 100 watt bulb for you beardie.

NEVER do this! this could burn your lizard. in the wild it is a lot cooler at night. also he wont be as active during the day. how would you like it if you had a huge light shining on your face while you were trying to sleep!do NOT get a heat rock, this heats them from there bellies, not goodthey shuold have heat that starts through the face and travels through the tail.
