Makes perfect sense. They weren't the most ethical company to being with, so why would they be there for pet owners when it's so important?
In reality, it could just be that a flood of consumers overloaded the server. I'm just glad I feed my dog a high quality food so that this doens't affect me at all.

I don't think it's anything to be suspicious about. The recall affected over 40 different brands of dogfood. Everyone who saw/knows about the recall is going to try visiting the websites at around the same time.
This causes server overloads and crashes. Basically the servers and the network that hosts these companies got flooded offline, which is to be expected when the number of people visiting a location exceeds the limit it can hold.
~ Hope this helps.

You wouldn't find anything current anyway. Right now, I'm sure the company is trying to legally protect their own interest until the extent of the problem is determined. The list of foods recalled is really long, and not just Iams.

I agree that it's probably an overload of people trying to get on the IAMS website. But now I'm kinda nervous anyway, I"m going to throw it all out...I can't remember if I bought some of it at Safeway or not, because sometimes I do! My cats seem to be fine though but I'm not taking any chances.
I have the chicken'n'gravy bits wet food.
