Your chances are still 50-50!
I have a friend who works at a hospital and she was able to have extra ultrasounds and she found out she was having a boy very early, in her first trimester.
most people don't have their first ultrasound until around 20-22 weeks though, so you'll probably have to wait it out until then1

Your chances of having a boy are the same as everyone elses 50/50, and also it isnt the female that decides the gender of the baby it is the male. You carry the x chromosomes and the male carries the x and y chromosomes. So no matter what you do it is not up to you which fertilizes your egg. If it is the y then yes it will be a boy. But like I already said you have a 50/50 chance of either... And about 16-20 weeks is when they can tell you which to expect.. Best of Luck on the boy....

A baby doesn't get defined genitles until around at 16 weeks. Most OB-GYNs won't tell you either way for "sure" until 18- 20 weeks. This is because a penis isn't always defined or easy to pick up until then. Even then the likely hood of getting a false reading is still there. Your chances of a boy is 50-50. All depending on your husband. Good Luck!! and Congrats!!

No matter what, your chances are still 50/50 that this will be a boy, regardless of family history. Usually women find out between 18 and 20 wks during an ultrasound what the sex is. Good luck!

well your husband determins the sex, so it doesnt matter what the women in your family have. My fiances one cousin has 2 boys and his brother has two boys, then my fiances other cousin had a girl and my fiance and I had a giril. so it doesnt really matter what your family has. I have a boy and girl, my sister has 4 boys. you can usually tell the sex at about 14 weeks. congrats on your pregnancy too, I am 9 weeks along

You won't find out the sex til the second trimester. Actually family history does play a factor in the sex of your child, but not from the females from the males. My sisters husband father only had males and his father before him. She is now pregnant with her second son. Male sperm are faster than female sperm but female sperm are stronger much much stronger lol some things don't change. I hope your baby is healthy regardless of the sex I'm sure they would be a blessing.

Whether you believe it or not, there are people that have only boys and girls. But there is only a 50:50 chance of having a boy.

Hi, you can get a Level 2 sonogram to determine gender and health issues at 20 weeks, most docs won't see you for that before then
