You can not free anyone from terrorism .The best the united states can do is pull out of Iraq, secure our boarders the best that we can and tell the rest of the world that we too are not afraid to die so "BRING IT ON".Then just sit back and see what happens.Do you think the reason we have not been attack again is because we are in Iraq?This is not fighting Communism and 9/11 was not Pearl harbor.Our country was founded on freedom.Living in fear is not freedom.France,Germany,China,Japan refuse to,so why should we?George Bush is wrong.We have done enough for the people in Iraq.It is not our problem what happens after we leave.South Korea survived,Vietnam survived.IT IS TIME TO COME HOME.

My off-the-cuff answer about freeing our planet from terrorism would be to detonate all of the the world's arsenals of nuclear weapons and blow this planet to kingdom come. Why, you may ask? Well, if truth be told, you simply will not get rid of terrorism from our midst until you get rid of the entire human race. Because what we believe defines a terrorist today was classified differently in days past, but all boils down to their spreading distrust and hate. That word will likely morph in the future to mean a different profile, but so long as humans exists, terrorists in whatever name or form, will come along for the ride.

We need to focus our energies on making the world better. Right now too much focus (directed by the news media, and politicians) is being sent to the wrong things. It's like driving. When you drive, you have to look forward to where you want to go, not at that tree you don't want to hit. We need to focus forward in a positive manner on what we want to happen in this world, rather than pouring out negative energy and "fueling the fire" of terrorism or anything else that is *undesirable*.

If you check out the history of our planet you will find that there always have been terrorist, maybe by a different name but terrorist none the less.
There will always be folks that have an axe to grind with someone else about various and sundry reasons.
We, as a people, sometimes find it hard even getting along with our next door neighbor.
So to answer your question-there is no way at this time and development of our race to rid ourselves of terrorism.

1.To firmly pick-up every person in this Country that is Middle Eastern and those under suspicious of harming the U.S.A. To decide who is legal and who isn't and deport.
2.To allow none others into this Country as visitors and those who won't to be a citizen.
3.To allow no additional students into this Country. And those that are here must return back to their country.
4. To diligently approach our borders with an iron hand.
5. To give our border guards more power and to allow our Military a significant amount of legal power.

At this time in America we can no longer trust anyone. I know it is not our nature to refuse anyone a better life; but
at this point and time, we must protect our citizens here in America. If we don't start now then our children will not have a future.

it takes many forms, and has for centuries. suicide bombers are nothing new...just look at the Kamikazes of WWII...

this war has been going on for centuries, and will only end when one side exterminates or subjugates the other.

as i have said in this forum a dozen times, there is no middle ground...there is no 'sharing the wealth, sharing the earth' with these guys....they will accept no offers of KumBayYa...they want us on our knees to Mecca, or in the ground.

they do not respect peace offers, they only appear to be appeased while they gather more strength for the next attack. peaceful co-existance is not possible.

we must all be vigilant. we must all fight illegal immigration. (well, can YOU tell the difference at a glance between a mexican and an iraqi? )

get to know your local police, as they are your first line of defense.

buy a weapon for yourself, get legal to carry it, and learn your rights and responsibilities to defend yourself and your family.

you gotta get serious. you gotta get smart. you gotta quit watching TV all the time and getting soft and lazy, while hoping that someone else will carry your weight.

it's up to each one of us.

Elect a president that steps forth, and helps the Arab. The extremists give Muslims a bad name and they deserve to be treated with respect. A republican in office is suicide, not only for himself, but for the entire country. We need a Jimmy Carter clone people!

Recognize that religious fundamentalism is a mental illness, a real disease, and that it threatens the foundations of all of Western Civilization.

Simply put, the die-hard True Believers are *all* out of control, and need to be put in their place as harshly and forcibly as possible. 9-11 would *never* have happened on our own soil if *we ourselves* hadn't first tolerated bombers and snipers of a religious bent at the abortion clinics. We need to draw a *very firm line* and say, "Ok, you people have been far too violent for far too long, you are a threat to Self and Others and we WILL NOT allow you to follow through with your 'End of Days', apocalyptic garbage."

Meaning...we take a VERY hard line, both at home and abroad, against religious violence no matter *what* faith it comes from. If this means passing a Constitutional Amendment in the United States to get it done, suspending First Amendment freedoms of faith for those who are violent and demonstrably *insane* in a legal sense (not accountable for their actions due to their being not connected to reality), so be it. If this means cracking down hard on the whole entire Arab Peninsula and North Africa and bombing the whole lot *back* into the Stone Age, so be it.

We need to *beat the point* into their thick skulls that a) No, they can't conquer the whole world in the name of their God, and b) that no, they aren't allowed to blow it up and *inflict* their "End of Days" prophecy on the rest of us.

And by "they" up there, I don't just mean the Muslims, I mean ANY AND ALL people of a religious bent who are violent and have demonstrated that they are hellbent on ruining civilization for the rest of us. This means fundie Evangelicals too, among many others....

So yeah, that is it basically. Drive the point into people's heads that their Freedom of Faith is *highly* conditional on their being *non-violent*.

Sounds simple right?

Will it happen? No. The rich guys *don't want that* because they'd rather see reason and human civilization *rot* if it makes them *more money*.
