This is a tough question because it's so subjective. If you look at which team played better last season, it is no contest that the Packers exceeded expectations, while the Vikings played far more poorly than anticipated.
If the question were worded more precisely as to indicate "Which team is more talented" or "Which team is more likely to win more games" then the question becomes a little easier to answer.
Assuming you mean to ask "Which team will win more games in 2007", typically you have to look at two things. A team's Quarterback (essentially the key to offensive success) and the team's Defense.
It's a no-brainer right now that Brett Favre is a legendary quarterback and the best historic player on both teams, but it's also no secret that most people believe him to be past his prime in abilities and that his over-confidence sometimes hurts his team more than it helps.
On the other hand, the Vikings clearly have a better defense than the Packers, and their run defense was so dominant that most teams chose to pick apart their otherwise average pass defense to the point that it was rated near the bottom of the entire league.
Nobody knows for sure how well Viking QB Tarvaris Jackson will perform in 2007, and whether or not their talented offensive line will gel and allow Brad Childress's west coast offense to improve. But given both teams lack of presence in the free agent market, it's safe to assume that the easy answer is that the Packers should receive a very cautious nod as the current "better" team, as they earned it in 2006. (Although Minnesota is probably the more talented team and in a better position to succeed.)
The 2007 NFL Draft will go a long way towards answering this question.

OK for one the Vikings just suck, and two the packers are just the same way. What I think is that they both are sorry. Now if your trying to pick a favorite team, from my perspective I would choose the Packers. Because they have better players than the other team. But that's just from my point of view.

Easily the packers. Sure Brett Favre did not have the best season last year, but now they have Randy Moss to accompany Donald Driver, giving them a powerful passing offense. Also, returning starters on defense that are both rookies and veterans give the Packers a clear edge over the Vikings. Seriously, the Vikings have no one.

The Packers have the better football team. So who cares if Brett is old, he's still better than anyone the Vikings got. Plus the Vikings have been a pathetic franchise ever since they lost Culpepper and Moss.

packers by far. Younger team on the rise. They can only get better. Defense last year was almost a toss up if the Vikings could actually stop a pass. But they couldnt so I would say the packers have a slight better D. their offense has more going for them also.......

Defense- The Vikings by far.
Offense- it's a tie. Both are struggling, but I'd give the edge to the Vikes for the Oline and at runningback.
BTW for those who say Randy Moss is a Packer, your are wrong. The trade has not happened, and is not going to happen.

At this particular moment I would have to say the Green Bay Packers because of Brett Favre.
