Absolutely would tell my spouse. If i were dating someone, it would depend on how long we had been dating.
Never keep secrets from a wife/husband, though. That'd be shady and mean.

=)

If your spouse would tell you, then you should tell your spouse. if you really trust your date, sure, why not tell them? It's still your money to do what YOU want with. You could just tell your date about getting "some money" you don't have to tell them how much.. or anything.

But a spouse? Well, that's what working together and being "in it for life" is about; trust and sharing right?

If I was in a happy and serious relationship, I would feel obligated to tell my significant other about the money. The only reason that I wouldn't tell would be if I were planning to use some of it to get him an extravagant surprise.

On the other hand, if it's not a serious relationship or I was planning on leaving, I would feel no obligation to tell.

I would look at the relationship very closely. If things were going good I might tell her.If things were just getting along then I wouldn't say anything and put the money away.Money can make people change how they act and the feelings they show towards you.

In fact I would tell my spouse or who I'm dating because if an emergency comes up he/she would be able to help you out. If you don't tell and spouse is brought into situation and they wouldn't know and wouldn't be able to help you. If you were to find some money it would be best if you tell because your spouse would be able to confirm that you found and not stole it.

Yes i would definitley tell my husband and i would share it with him and enjoy doing so. I would want him to tell me if he fell into alot of it. This is the fair and right thing to do. I would not hide it from him for sure. First of all i would see if someone lost the money though if i found it somewhere. What would you do if you found the money or came into it?

My spouse, of course, we are a partnership. Someone I was dating, no obligation whatsoever, would not be committed to that person in any way....right?

Your spouse yes, because you love her, also (hopefully not) if you were to divorce in the future your wealth will be divided between you two.
But you certainly don't need to tell your girlfriend.
