I have the pc mentioned and I have upgraded to 2 hard drives,one 40 and one 20, 600 mhz processor and 256 ram( have another 128mb on the way for it) and I want to know how far I can go on the processor and what are the benefits and risks and how are is it to do and I guess where to get it at a good price.

Don't mean to be rude here but just looking for a straight forward answer. not interrested in a new pc. I have those. Think of this as a trivia question and that will help me out.

For something that old, you'll have to get most of your "upgrades" from eBay.

At the end of the day though, it isn't worth upgrading. You're better off saving a little and getting one of this year's computers.

I can't really answer that from the given information. Check any documentation for the specific model of your computer. I doubt you'll be able to upgrade to a practical speed if you're only at 600MHz now, so unless you are just using this computer as a fileserver or something, I'd recommend just buying a new one.

I can see no benefits to upgrading this PC. Even at it's fastest it will be MUCH slower then the cheapest PC you can buy today.
