today I bought a 19'' lcd monitor. It hurts my eyes. i have tried to change color, contrast, etc. has anyone else had this problem? Anything else I can do to fix this problem? (besides hooking the small monitor back up?)

it might also be your refresh rate, your lighting around the pc, or the brightness/contrast.

the refresh rate should be at 60Mhz or higher anything below that would look horendous. (it refreshes the screen alot slower)

your lighting should be slightly brighter than the screen

sometimes the gamma, contrast, or the brightness may be set at an unpleasant setting.

Sorry. Some people just have sensitive eyes. You can try getting an anti-glare cover for it, that may help. It depends what your condition is.

Two considerations:
1) eye problems.
2) radiation. get a filter to 'screen' and 'shade' your eyes

you have parable tried to adjust the brightens so I'd try to a glare Gard.

you can adjust the brightness same as you did contrast
