HALLIBURTON OPENS CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS IN THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES (DUBAI)

Halliburton Company announced at a regional energy conference in the Kingdom of Bahrain the opening of a corporate headquarters office in the United Arab Emirates. Halliburton Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Dave Lesar will move to Dubai to lead the company’s efforts in growing Halliburton’s business in the Eastern Hemisphere, an important market for the global oil and gas industry.

The opening of a headquarters in Dubai is the next step in a strategic plan announced in 2006 to focus on expanding its customer relations with national oil companies while concentrating more of the company’s investments and resources in growing its business in the Eastern Hemisphere.

Founded in 1919, Halliburton is one of the world's largest providers of products and services to the energy industry. The company will continue to maintain a corporate office in Houston.

Halliburton's move to Dubai is most certainly a move intended to "support the troops." No "slow bleed" or "cut and run" for these patriots.

Dubai. Yep, it's more of that "business as usual", the Arabs attack us, and our companies bend over backwards with *more payoffs* and *even more appeasement*. And does it ever work? Hell no.

We NEED to get Big Oil, which IS Big Terror, the hell out of US Politics, period. We NEED to get people in charge that have a clue and that actually *have a BRAIN*.

We need someone who will be as harsh and direct with the Saudis as FDR was with the Nazis, at least, because we are dealing with religious fanatics who have been brainwashed to either conquer the world or blow it all up trying. Last time that happened, we had to *nuke* the Japanese, *twice*, to get them to stop and listen to reason.

I hope it doesn't go that far, but you know....I just don't see those Arabist Wahabbis listening to anything that resembles reason or rule of law anytime soon.

Just my plug nickel....I'm done now, you can hate on me now.

Dubai, and yes it is scandalous and they should pay back the government at least 2.7 billion dollars in over charges before they are allowed to leave.

They also employ many thousands of U.S. citizens and build infrastructure in some of the most inhospitable places in the world! What would your hourly rate be to work in Iraq? Perhaps you should concern yourself with issues such as; how much of your garbage has to be buried in a landfill, how much pollution do you contribute, how much water do you waste, do you consume products that exploit natural resources, or use animals for testing...etc

Some people actually go out in the world and build it, instead of complaining from their computer chair!

Want some cheese to go with that whine!
