I have a 2 yr old paint filly and im wanting to start her soon. Here are some pics of her. Tell me if you think she can be started.

From the pics, she looks a little immature in growth. I would suggest starting ground work, saddling, driving, lounging, etc. This will help build her strength so she will be less likely to be injured when you start riding. After doing that for a month or two, if she is doing well go ahead and get on. Most paints are started as two year olds and they do fine. If you are concerned, you can always ask your vet.

I did the ground work at saddling & driving,bitting up etc.but I didnt get on her untill she was 2 yrs.4 mo.& shes wonderful.Thats a nice looking filly you have.Some like to get the legs x rayed if there under 3.I didnt

I dont tink u can tell from pics...if she is 2yo+ she should be ready coz her bones should be strong enouff but if you arnt 100% on the riding part f it, just get her used to the bit..like puting it in n out of her mouth till u feel she ready for the saddle and lunge her in all her tack for a wail, if she going to bolt it better she does it on a lunge line then with u on her back ....and when she n u ready hope on n start...
