I might use lw for copyrighted infringement

is this meaning i wont/might download songs, is it legal to fileshare as long as you dont intend on keeping that music and is it ok to fileshare if you have the cd but it is scratched so your filesharing to renew it(in a way)?

here is when it is OK to use file sharing sites.

1. you can legally make one backup of any digital media you own, in case the original gets damaged.

2. you can transfer your legally owned media onto another medium (this is called "space shifting"). for example if you own a CD you can make an mp3 version of it. likewise if you own an mp3 you can burn it onto a CD. as long as you own the original copy you are allowed to possess it in several different media formats.

however if you get caught downloading illegally just say that you recorded the songs off of the radio and onto a cassette tape then say you downloaded the songs because it was damaged and you had to throw it out.

No, no matter the condition, file sharing with copywritten material is illegal. But honestly, the chance is around one in a billion that you will get caught. And that's all that matters.

Yeah it's illegal but who cares...just click agree and move on. I'm sorry but I'm not paying .99 cents (1.00 really) for 1 song. That's stupid and unethical.
