In my experience, Its somewhere for people with disabilites to go when agencies fail them. i worked for a lot of private group homes for MR. It is not in my best interest to help my client to move into a new home, because my company would be losing profits if I referred them to another home owned by a different company. That home may be a better fit for my client, but I cant advocate for him. So I would refer him to the ADA to get council, or get someone to help him fill out paperwork.

They are also a good place to turn for help with employment issues and rights in the workplace.

All organizations must comply with the ADA unless it causes an undue hardship. Meaning, if your organization cannot afford it, you can argue that point. However, you can always work with your local government to help you make your organization ADA compliant.

They require them to be in line with the ADA. Accessibility for the disabled in ramps, parking, bathrooms, etc.

They impose requirements regarding accomodations for people with disabilities. Same as with any large business.

Oh my god, that question is so vague and broad, that it would require a doctorate's thesis to answer.

Can you be more specific please?

Any other idiots on here tonight? That's number 41 so far....
