I want to know very specifically in what city or near what city in California?

Yosemite National Park is largely in Mariposa County, and Tuolumne County, California, United States. I could not find the EXACT city it is in, but the nearest city to it is Mariposa.

Most people go through Merced (Central CA) to get to the main entrance.

Go through coarsgold and oakhurst. Ask anyone in either town and they'll tell you.
