Hello, I am 9 weeks preg with our first. I have been seeing my doctor about this, however he really is not helping me out or explaining what is wrong. First I had a rash and grey or yellow poop. The doc does a blood test says nothing is wrong and tells me to take Benadryl and use Aveno and Cortizone for the rash. He says to stop taking my vitamins. OK, the rash is gone, now I have really, really bad diarreha. As soon as I eat, I go and it's either yellow or black. I saw the doc again, he says he thinks it's a virus or food poisoning. They are doing another test, just told me to take Kapectate. I eat almost nothing, trying toast, potatoes etc. and losing weight.

Is this normal in pregnancy? Should I find a new doctor?

Can anyone help, please? Thank you!

I had diarrhea as well around week 11. They actually sent me to the trauma center for labor & delivery. I got hooked up to a fetal contraction monitor & had a lot of blood work done. Ultimately I had a virus. I was loosing weight as well. I still have VERY soft stools, & was told I could stop taking my vitamins to make that stop. Instead, I suffer during the week & take 2 days off on the weekend.
I wouldn't worry too much...eat some eggs....omelets & such to get protein, that's what I did. Also, my Dr. told me applesauce & white rice help bind you.
If you don't think you're getting an answer that's correct, by all means see another dr. better safe than sorry :)
