a ball is traveling at a constant velocity of 50m/s and has been
traveling for 2 minutes, what is the ball's acceleraton.

Anything travelling at constant velocity has zero accelertaion.

a = (v2 - v1)/(t2 - t1) = (50 - 50)/(2 - 0) = 0

Or...

Acceleration is defined to be the change in velocity. Since velocity has two compontents, speed and direction, we can ask ourselves two questions...

Is the speed changing? (nope)
Is the direction of the object changing? (nope)

If you answer nope to both, then guess what? You got it!

zero! because it said the ball is traveling at a constant speed. Not accelerating!

Unless it is changing direction, there is zero acceleration.
Acceleration requires a change in velocity
