Is it because those who do it don't have the balls to express it in reality? Why the hate period? Is it just a way to focus your inner self hate in a specific organized direction? Why not towards other groups? Are blacks just an accepted target for racial hate? Although I have brainstormed, this is still more of a question than a statement. I just don't understand why so many would focus so much anger in such a direction. Anger also greatly hurts the individual that is doing the hating. Why not focus positive efforts and positive energy to our world?

Kirsten-I looked up Nat Turner. He was psychotic, he and 55 others went on a revolt, then the government killed over 200 blacks, most having nothing to do with the white killings.
I can agree with whining. I myself can't stand waaa waaa waaa. Although I think it is VERY important to remember things like the holocaust, slavery, an deliberate oppression of any people so that history does not repeat itself. I see how easy it is for people to slip into a racist mode. We need constant reminder of what type of society we want to currently live in and not go back to. Just my opinion. I really don't mind people having their own opinion or even not liking blacks. Its just that when hate in indivertly hurts an entire race. Racism can cause one to loose a job, an education, or even on a smaller scale. Well, I got a little more insight to my question. Thank you all. I see that it will not stop entirely. But yes I agree that we can all do our part.

While it is true that Black are a fairly common target for racial remarks, they are not the only ones. Whites, Asians, Hispanics, any "race" for that matter is a target. Racism is an ugly thing. I do belive however that society is improving. Even if its only a little.

The answer to your question is quite simple really. This country we live in is a breading ground for hatred. Not to say that us "the common folk" are the ones creating this hate, we are the ones reacting to it. Hatred is bred and fed to us spoon to mouth so that we will remain divided as people. We are constantly divided into category's of this and that so that most of us never stop to think "hey you know, we are all the same". As long as people seek value out side of them selves they can not understand that me and you, they and them are the same. The absolute main reason for this is to keep us under control, as long as we are busy spending our years trying to have more "things" than our neighbors we will not wake up to truth.

I have no idea what you are talking about, but I did hear a comment by a man of color about another man of color on the television, it had to do with money. The man said the other man hated to see him with a nickle when they only had a penny. It was a cruel statement of fact, yet what was the mans motive for such a statement.

On the internet there is anonymity. People can express what is truly in their hearts. Fear drives racism. It is the fear of losing a job. It is the fear of the unknown. Racism is ignorance. What those who fear us don't understand, we share the same dreams as they do.
