My dad is 5'11", but was 6' in HS lol. and my mom is ike 5'4". I am right now 14 years old and 5'7". I am hoping to be taller than 6' as a senior in HS. I currently take a multivitamin/multimineral supplement and Fish Oil pills. I am hoping to be taller so I have a better chance of playing big time college football. Scouts look for size. And non-related stuff, I am 160lbs, 12% body fat, wrestled varsity as an 8th grader, am playing Varsity football for a private highschool with the 7th best football team in the nation as a freshman next year, and I maintain straight A's, and I earned a full scholarship to the private school. That little chunk of info was just to make sure you know I actually have a chance of playing big time college ball its not just a kids fantasy. So if I am coming out of HS standing a whopping 5'11" I dont know how many colleges are gonna be knocking at my door no matter how good I am. So anyway, in case you forgot the question, how can I break 6' by 2010?

There isnt any proven method to grow taller, you will grow to height you were meant to grow.

Unfortunately, genetics has the most say in your situation. My question is how tall were your grandfathers? Next as previously stated, POSTURE is a key it sounds silly, but in your current growing phase it can take as much as an inch off your eventual height. Also, make sure your calcium and zinc intakes are were they need to be. You may hear people talking about HGH, DON'T, and I repeat, DON'T go down that road. The cost does not come close to equaling the small gains you'll get. Don't worry over your negative traits. Talk to your coaches and develop your strengths to their fullest. Yes Scouts look for big, but believe it or not, (depending on what position you play) That is 3rd or 4th on a scouts list. Again, talk to your coaches, if they're worth their salt, they'll give you straight scoop on that. Good luck, and remember, talent and heart will take you much farther than height.

Make sure you are getting adequate sleep, 8 hours every night. Eat well and don't slouch.

Beyond this, hope. I would say you have a pretty solid chance of standing at least 5'11". If you hit 6'0", you'll pass the litmus test of most college coaches without a second look at many positions on the field assuming your game merits the attention. It sounds like you are a more than adequate athlete, so refining your football game is really the best thing you can do for your CFB chances.

Wow, you must be pretty good! Anyway, the only thing you can do is eat right and hope and wait. You will probably grow a lot this year and next year. Most guys spurt up a lot in their freshman and sophomore years in high school, or so I have noticed. ;) I'm a sophomore, and most of the guys have gotten a lot taller the past couple of years! Anyway, you definitely have room to grow, just eat right and put all those good vitamins in your body for your bones!

Not all players at every position need to be taller than six foot especially running backs, 6 foot puts you at a slight disadvantage. For QB and receiver however six foot might get you looked at. If you watched 2-a-days their QB was good and had excellent stats, speed and vision but because of his height he wasn't even looked at by any colleges for football.
but if you wanna be taller than 6 than you need to :
- sleep at least 10 hours a night in a completely dark room
-eat a lot of natrual protein
-work out on things that wont stunt your growth ( standing workouts are bad aka squats, cleans, dead lifts.)
-drink a lot of milk make it your new favorite
-take care of your body and dont over work yourself or you will ruin your chances.

However tall you were meant to be is the height you will be. There's nothing you can do alter that outcome, barring a rather drastic and expensive surgery.

It sounds like you're doing almost all you can to reach your maximum potential. I think you have to rely on genetics to take care of the rest. Just make sure you eat healthy too.

Doesn't look like you have anything to worry about. You've got genetics, exercise, and nutrition going for you, you'll do fine. Best of luck!

You really have no control over that...unless you are severely undernourished (and I am not sure that this will even matter) you will not be able to affect your height at all; it's in the genes...
