(The "down low" is when a married man regularly has gay sex and keeps it a secret from his wife.)

If so, what solution to such a dilemma do you suggest?

If not, how would you justify it to the larger community?

Gay or not i think it degrades anyone having sex wih an alreay married person. But you only there to give a helping hand .....or any other part of your body. The community will never justify adultry so i dont think theres much you can do

I'm a straight woman, and in my mind, when the gay community accepts men who are on the "down low" - no, you do not lose credibility.

Gays have only had the freedom to come out, and be who they really are, for a short period of time. Society still makes it incredibly hard for gay people. It must seem easier at times to try to pretend to be straight.

I don't condone being on the down low, because it's not fair to anybody - especially not to the gay or bisexual man, and the (presumably) straight woman who married him and thought she was getting a monogamous straight marriage. But I think I can understand why it happens.

I feel that both the gay community and society in general needs to be compassionate towards these people who have been so afraid to be who they are. Perhaps in the future, this will be a lot less common. I hope so, anyway.

I think that the guys who accept married men on the downlow are degrading mankind. Not just the gay community. It is about having cooth and respect not only for yourself, but for the their poor families. The guys that want to have sex with guys, but want to keep it a hush are ignorant and either need to live the life they chose or come out and be who they pretend to be. I being a guy man could never lead on a woman or my children into thinking I am straight, nor could I have sex with a guy knowing he is married and has children.

I think we have to look at the entire population of infidels be they gay straight or otherwise.

The problem would not exist if the moral majority stopped trying to play God.

Alot of gay men who chose to be a father were often given no other choice but to be married or die in hell according to the religious dogma that was rammed down their throats.

I was raised a Christian and still follow the doctrines of Christ.

I have also been introduced to World religion and spirituality.
The result a kinder more excepting being.

Kinda Christ like don't you think.

I leave the judging up to God.

Infidelity often spurns from guilt, no judgment no guilt , no sin.

It takes all kinds in all walks of life to have different levels of integrity.
I saw a 3 legged dog come into a bar looking for the married man who shot his PAW!
