From what I found, all reports say it COULD be heading toward Earth and hit the Earth, but not that it will hit texas, it is the SIZE of texas. Why blow things out of proportion?
Still, I wonder why it is always america who seem to always be hit? After attention, or are there really any gods that have a grudge against americans and want to wipe them out for all of their arrogance and wrong-doings from the wars they started needlessly and pushing their way of thinking into other countries who don't want it?
Here is the article anyway, still, leave it to the americans to try and act like heroes as they portray themselves in movies...

Up in the sky: a bird? a plane? a meteor?
Updated: March 14, 2007 08:04 AM EDT
Did a meteor flash across the W. Michigan sky on Sunday? This is a meteor seen in Texas also , there are a team of meteorite finding specialists from NASA on their way there via NASA boeing jet.
Eric Schreur of the Kalamazoo Valley Museum
GRAND RAPIDS-- A fiery object passed over the West Michigan sky Sunday night, with reports from Fennville to Ionia telling 24 Hour News 8 it seemed like a meteor.
People connected with both the Chaffee Planetarium in Grand Rapids and the Kalamazoo Valley Museum believe it was a fireball formed by a meteor passing through the Earth's atmosphere. Based on their reports, they believe it was traveling north to southeast over Michigan.
Estimates place the meteor at 50-70 miles high and about the size of a softball or basketball.
Reports from people that it landed in their backyard are more than likely erroneous. Planetarium officials say that would be an optical illusion caused by the curvature of the Earth.
Eric Schreur of the Kalamazoo Valley Museum said if the object is moving laterally, it's quite a ways away. But if it was falling in your back yard, "what you would see is a bright light that keeps getting brighter and brighter."
Schreur also believes the object burned up before it hit the ground.

Re: Up in the sky: a bird? a plane? a meteor?
This is to confirm, the "meteor/fireball", sighting.
I'm in Jackson and saw this occur at 7:59PM, Sunday night. I was at my computer, when I noticed a "meteor/fireball", moving from Northwest to Southeast.
It had a very long colorful contrail and when it ended, sparks went in all directions, and then, nothing. I've seen shooting stars, but nothing that had so much fire involved. Thanks for letting me share what I saw.

Hi my name is Bradley. I am 10 years old. Last night about 8:00 p.m. I was looking out my kitchen window and saw a big firey ball that looked about 5' around.
It was flying pretty fast. It was going North to the south.
I was a little scared and excited to see it, I didn't really know what it was until I watched the news at 6:00 a.m. I feel very lucky that I got to see it. I wish I could go looking for it!
Thank you
Bradley from Fremont, Michigan
My daughter and I were driving home from our church home group, and had just turned onto Cannonsburg Road heading east, when I saw a VERY bright, flaming large round item coursing through the sky and finally burning out just above the east end of the golf course. I was very shocked to see it, and it came in on a pretty straight line. If it had been a fireworks, we would have heard the pop of it when it was set off. We heard nothing of the sort, nor was it a dud...since those make an even larger sound than regular fireworks. My daughter was kind of scared about it (she is 11) and I could see it coming out of the sky for some time before it was really clear. I don't know if it burned up just above the golf course, or if there is a remnant of it on the golf course. I would be wondering if others saw it too...there were cars behind me as well as coming toward me who would have seen it as well. I would be curious to find out what it was, and if it was really a meteorite or comet. Well, probably not a comet, but the fire was very bright, and it kind of looked like a star that was flaming. Has anyone else reported this to you this evening? It was on Cannonsburg Road right by the east end of the golf course there...maybe 1000 feet east of Northland Drive. It was very round, very bright, and on fire.
I'm willing to telll it again. I would like to see it if you can find it. Of course, it was kind of freaky to see something like that. I have never seen any fireworks that are that big, round, and burning down to the ground.
Have a good evening.

My 10 yr old son explained what may have been a meteor approximately at 8 pm. I advised him that with the low ceiling and daylight, that it was improbable and that if it was a meteor, because a visible meteor at that time of day should be very large.
I verified that your website reported that witnesses stated they saw one too. I live on the south east side of Grand Rapids.

Just this side of Portland, my daughter and I saw a huge meteor streaking from west to east as I drove her back to MSU this evening at 7:59 p.m. It was the biggest meteor I've ever seen, and I even saw the head of it spinning a little. Maybe it wasn't a meteor, but whatever it was, I'm wondering if anyone else saw it. If you get reports of similar sightings tonight, could you let me know? I'm wondering if my daughter and I were hallucinating.
Thank you.
