The good thing is that you’re not married to any technology, considering that the G604T doesn’t contain any proprietary “AirPlus” or “Speed Booster” technology built into the router. These standards were made up to get to 108Mbps speeds before 802.1N came out. The good news is that the 802.1N draft standard has been approved and equipment has started to come out with true N compatible standard. This lets you connect at higher speeds at greater distances than G.

In the end, it really doesn’t matter what manufacturer you choose, as long as you get the latest technology and use it. For example, get something that supports WPA2 and 802.1N and turn WPA2 on the router and don’t allow non-802.1N devices to connect to your system (considering you also purchased an N wireless card. Typically, people hate the last company whose product didn’t work properly for them. For example, I won’t use Western Digital hard drives because I’ve had one totally crash on me. Likewise, you’re probably opposed to D-Link because it 's not working right for you. I've used D-Link, Linksys, and Netgear equipment for years and all of it has worked as advertised.

If its no longer wifi that really nails it all the way down to apply by ability of someone who can basically plug into the router. i assume that you became off your computer so as that the plausible virus did not do all this by ability of itself (viruses are truly able to what you describe). Few if any of the shopper routers have this kind of community password administration and that i doubt that the Netgear form you've has it both.
