Wow ... all I have to say is that I just wasted 2 hours of my life and that I might have gotten somewhat dumber by watching that movie. Does anybody know what the point in that movie was and what happened in the end. I know the mother (Rose) and her daughter were at home but seemed in a different world, while the father was in the real world.... if anyone can give an explanation thanks ???????

Rose, her daughter and the Cop died on the road approaching the town, everything they experienced in Silent Hill, and after was on a different plane of existence., that's why the husband and the police couldn't find them there!

You have hit the nail on the head, there is no more to it. I saw Sean Bean and was thrilled! and the best part was seeing whenever Sean Bean would appear. Yes They are in a parallel dimension and that's it. The father will probably marry right in front of the face of his wife and daughter who will be running from those beasties for the rest of their lives.

At the beginning of the movie when the wrecked their jeep and the cop wrecked her bike they actually all died so they were in a different world... ya it was lame but I heard the game is scary as hell

the mother and daughter are dead but they don't know it ,neither does the cop remember she had a wreck she died and none of them new it. yes your right it was a dumb movie, i didn't care for it either.

the mom and kid are dead so are the town people the mom talks to and the dad is alive.
