Hi, first time question asker here....
When you are watching a movie or the sport you want the volume just a bit louder to catch the action, then when there is an add break you are almost deafened coz it goes really loud with out you making it louder, then your mum or someone not watching it shouts from another room for you to turn down the TV it is very annoying, why does that happen?

Are you in the UK? (see the mum reference). If so, it happens here in the U.S. too. It is so annoying. I think the advertisers pay more to have it louder than the actual show on television. There is also one station here that is not loud at all - I have to turn it up and then an ad comes on and WOAH I need ear plugs. I feel your pain. Now that we can record shows and skip the commercials, they try to get our attention in other ways. Welcome to Yahoo Answers!!!

It's just how that channel is broadcasted. Not just commercials, but some channels are louder than others. When broadcasters send out their signal to be picked up by cable & satellite providers, the volumes tend to differ. When the cable or satellite company gather those channels and combine them to send them out to their customer, they can't do anything about the sound difference.

when you are watching your T.V. and a add comes on where do go on the comercial to the kitchen or the bath room and they want you to hear what the comercial is about thats why the volume goes up on your t.v. during the brake

It has to do with how the sound quality was for the program that is airing. Some shows tape using low sound quality, thus producing a higher sound when commericals come on.

Ads are made to sound their loudest longer. They average a higher loudness level than other stuff on T.V.

They make the ads louder on purpose so you hear what they are selling. They don't want you to miss a word they are saying.
