to be honest, i think kipper has passed his prime, like some goalies we think are amazing. you could ask the exact same question about curtis joseph...or how about cam ward??? what happened to him this season after a stellar stanley cup run? thats what i thought. kipper had an amazing cup run too, and it ran into the next season, but i think his flame is going out.
i give the vezina trophy to brodeur...because it cant go to anyone else. 42 wins...12 shutouts? he's a god. and he has about 10 games left to tie his single season wins record of 43.
if he werent in the league...it might go to luongo, 41 wins, .920 save percentage. awesome stats.
as for kipper...we never give up on him. his stats are solid, but as the season has progressed, he IS getting worse.

He's still very good, he's just not Vezina good this year. It's a matter of time; it's nearly impossible for a goalie to keep up the great stats that Kipper has accumulated over the last couple of years. It's even harder when the team in front of you isn't that great and you have to stand on your head to keep your team in the playoffs. He may be starting to crack under the pressure a little bit.

It happens. He's still very good.

a good goalie has to have a good line in front of them.most of the great teams today don't make their goalies do all the work, they block shoots and keep the puck at the other end, therefore they don't work their goalie to death,so maybe the rest of the team needs to take a look at their roles.
