I have tons of favorite books but for your age you absolutely must read Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. It's a newer book and it's beautifully written, don't let the whole "vampire" thing scare you, it's nothing dark and spins a whole new light on that type of story. It is also a romance novel with no smut at all. It kept me emotionally attatched, which to me is the most important element in a good book.

My all time favorite is A Clockwork Orange. If haven't read that and you've got some endurance, try it.
I also dig One Flew Over the Cuckcoo's Nest and Atlas Shrugged.
Or if you're looking for something modern and crazy, House of Leaves is awesome-sause.

I liked The Clan of the Cave Bear, by Jean Auel. Every teenage girl I have recommended it to has really liked it. I also loved Bridget Jones' Diary, Pride and Prejudice, and The Bonesetter's Daughter by Amy Tan. Oops...that's more than one.

I'd have to recommend Heinlein's "Stranger In A Strange Land," the uncut version. It's funny, poignant, and extremely thought-provoking.
