Northerners are more accepting as a whole to outsiders. But we are a*holes in general. This just means will will be equally as a**hole-ish to you as we are to each other, so dont take it personally. Insults are a form of bonding where i am from. The stereotypical new yorker is a good example.

One thing is for sure, Califonia, especialy Orange County, is not a very friendly place. Be ready to have everyone judging you because of your wealth.
