I need a gerbils expert to ansewer this question .
I need to no very badly so please will someone help me out a little.

Any male and female gerbil will mate. It doesn't matter if they are brother-sister, mother-son, or father-daughter.
It is a common misperception that a brother-sister gerbil won't may, but they will. If they are both babies, gerbils usually figure out mating at about 2-3 months and have their first litter at 3-4 months.

You need to separate them right away. They will mate, since they know no better. To them a female is any female and a male is any male, they don't care. You can end up with birth defects from breeding siblings together. It sounds like yours may have already am I not too far off on this? Just get a second cage for the male and put him in it now.

Oh yes! Brother and sister will mate, no doubt. But if you mate them, their offspring will not be as strong genetically as they would be from unrelated parents. They will likely be prone to health problems. I would suggest buying an unrelated pair of gerbils to mate with the brother and sister.

hey i had 1 hamster and it was pregnant when i got it. it had 3 boys and 1 girl. After those the hamsters ended up mating with the mother and there sister after that i ended up having 28 hamsters in 3 months because they mated alot but yeah its ok for your gerbil to mate but be carefull with letting them mate alot.

trust me yes they can if there in heat sooooo bad they will mate soo be careful cuse they have a lot of babies

They will and can breed, and this is incest it will cause possible issues with the birth and or the litter, so you should separate them as soon as you can sex them.
