Awesome!! All I did today was wash the car, read the newspaper and vacuum some leaves from the back deck of the house. I certainly envy your friend and wish him much success in his venture.
By the bye, I hope he joined the Kingdom of Neptune voluntarily (that's the procedure where one has to jump overboard when crossing the equator for the first time, by boat, obviously). My father did it while in the US Navy in 1943 and I did it when I was enroute to Hawaii in 1969. It's an almost "spiritual" thing to do.
I hope your friend has all the happiness and success toward which he's working and to which he aspires. If you speak with him, please tell him I'm praying for him and his plans. Thanks.

That's pretty cool. I did that too, but twice on a 564 foot destroyer (USS Oldendorf DD-972), and four times on a 1,092 foot aircraft carrier (USS Ronald Reagan CVN-76.)

woke up at the camp(lake side). had sex. drank coffee. had breakfast. did a little yard work. had a beer & a shot. it would have killed a normal man. i crossed the equator in a submarine in 1973 and i bet we had a lot better time...we weren't scared for our lives. tell him we're proud of his accomplishment.
