I haven't but my sister and her husband did. She woke up in the middle of the night telling her hubby that she was having her baby NOW!! The ambulance couldn't get there in time, and her hubby was on the phone talking w/ 911 operator. I think he had to tie off the umbilical cord with a shoe string. When the ambulance finally got there, they couldn't get the gurney down the hall way so my sis got up, and told everyone to get out of her way. She walked down the hallway and finally got to the hospital. She wouldn't recomend it to anyone. They had the hardest time getting the birth certificate, and she had to wait forever in the hospital to make sure everything was ok with her and the baby. But it sure makes for a great story!!!

Yes, and usually when the baby comes so fast that the mom (or dad or other child) has to deliver, everything goes so quick it's all ok. The main important thing is to make sure the baby's airway is clear and clamp the umbilical cord. Read the information your Dr. gives you, or search for emergency childbirth, it will help you know what to have on hand just in case of an emergency delivery.
