I asked a question earlier, but forgot to add something. I recently got a ticked on the freeway for going 75 on a 65 and I was wondering if I should fight it in court. I got one before about 3 years ago, and the cop showed up, but he dismissed all his fines that day, and I got a refund, does this mean that this ticket I got recently would be my first offense? I did receive a refund afterall on my first one.

I don't know. Myself, if I've done something wrong, even if I can get out of it, I usually face up to it. But that's just me...

There are different time periods and methods for reducing and eliminating speeding tickets, but 3 years is a more than likely timeframe in which any previous speeding tickets should be erased from your record. Don't fight it in court. It's a waste of your time and money with no guarantee of winning, in fact, you'd more than likely lose. You were just plain lucky about the previous court occurrence. It most likely would not turn out the same way this time. If you don't want the ticket on your record, go to traffic court and be done with it. A couple of nights and it's over.
