Antacids are not classified under the pregnancy safety categories A, B, C, D and X. Occasional use of antacids in small amounts during pregnancy is considered safe. However, pregnant women should check with their physicians before using antacids or any other medicines. Pregnant women who are consuming extra calcium should be aware that using antacids that contain sodium bicarbonate or calcium can lead to serious side effects.

I would not take a perscripton anacid with out consulting your dr. I would check with your dr on all of this.

If you are having issues with heartburn try milk, and if that does not work you can use tums.... Tums also provide you with the calcium that you need while pregnant, which most women dont get. If this is not helping you, reduce any spicy foods that you are eating, or anything salty or acidic.

If none of this is helping talk to your dr, heartburn is very normal for pregnant women, I got it from water when I was pregnant with my daughter. Good Luck.

Tums with calcium carbonate are perfectly fine for daily use in pregnancy. There are other chemicals in other antacids so be sure to check with your doctor. Without Tums, I would never have made it through any of my pregnancies.

Tums and Rolaids are ok. The ones with calcium are really good for you! I like the Tums smoothies. They worked great.
I remember one day I was at walmart and it was free sample day or something. I got some free diaper samples and in food they had pizza samples and I always got heartburn from pizza while I was pregnant and in pharmacy they had Tums smoothies samples and it was a good day after that!
Yes, they are safe....

You should start by not wanting to get pregnant, just have sex everyday or every other day and don't think about getting pregnant, just have fun with your partner.
after sex-put a pillow under your butt or prop your feet up on the wall so your pelvis is tilted
eat healthy
back off caffiene
workout,even if its just a 30 minute walk a day,be active!!

Tums and rolaids are fine...pepto bismol, too.. During pregnancy I lived on these, and, yes...my daughte was born with a lot of hair. My OB did however tell me to stay away from prilosec and zantac; only use if complleely necessary.

I've heard they are and took them throughout my first pregnancy.

What I've found to work best and is all natural is a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar.

It tastes nasty and is uncomfortable going down but then about 10-20 seconds later, your heartburn is COMPLETELY gone.

Works for me every time.
