how do celebrities affect our culture?

The rising of superstar in this modern society which basically ruled by the addiction of entertainment is greatly increasing which is just like how rapid the mushrooms grow after the rain. American Idol, Superstar Search, Model Search are the great examples of those agencies whose are searching and helping those who wish and intended to become an entertainer of various fields. Singers, dancers, models, sports models, wealthy individuals can be celebrities if they pose of unique characteristics and influenced that steal the limelight of the public. Paris Hilton for example has became one of the idols of many youngsters throughout the global as she is rich, pretty and having some characters that able to attract attention even though she is not really a highly educated woman and sometimes making stupid fools that sound absurd. However, none of her fans care about what she did, what i could said here, they don't really get upset by her unacceptable character but continue to adore her. In this matter, it is obvious that celebrities play a vital role and great influence in the society. Those fans out there are blinded by their feeling over virtue that they suppose to practice. They are no more concern of the morality but they are more keen of what might be happening to their idol. "IDOL" here is simply means someone that you really adore. Celebrities has become the food of their fans. Their doings are followed by their fans. For examples, appearance and attitude. Appearance are such as the way of clothing, make up and etc. Attitude are such as violence, sex, divorce and etc. Whatever of their idols doings, either good or bad, it gives a very big implication to the culture in the society. These kind of impact is making the culture to evolve and step into a new paradigm, that sometimes might cause culture shock for those elderly towards their new generation. If the changes leading to the goodness, the living will be much more better. This situation can be vividly seen in our previous idol of virgin, Britney Spear. She is a good performer and singer, that is undeniable. Just take a look what had happened to her in the newspaper. She was previously a big hope for those parents in prevention of sex before marriage. But everything turns hopelessly when she had sex with her so called boyfriend before the period that she supposed. The news spread rapidly like fire and then after she had became wilder than before. She has a big loyal fans, and what she had done might be the template for them. Wearing sexy and adult-like clothing especially for those in the appropriate age like youths is unreasonable. Youth should maintain the image of being youth by not living in the shell of fake and unnatural. Another example is previously a very popular and influencing girl band, the Spice Girls. They represented the "girl power". If we had really followed up their news, most of the girl fans had followed the way of the band's wearing. Tommy Lee, the ex-husband of Pamela Anderson, he is violent and brutal. He is still be accepted by his fans with the reason, he has his own identity and the violence giving him the uniqueness. Backstreet Boy, they are driving their fans crazy. Micheal Jackson, he is charged with children harassment and terribly with his cosmetic surgery. All these, even though it seems to be a very small matter, but it has to be taken seriously because its implications is far greater than the morality teaching. If this is neglected, hopefully it has not gone too far for fixing to create a better civilized culture suits for living.
