Because the fans can't take any more major upsets after the Sirius thing and the Dumbledore thing. If Rowling kills off another main character in this one, all hell's gonna break loose. No pressure, Rowling, but this one better be GOOD.

Don't hate. If it makes Harry happy, then why not. Unfortunately I think JKR is about to kill off Harry. = ( I guess we will all find out in July.
