Well, there a many possibilities. First, this female may remind you of someone subconsciously. Somebody that you don't like for their mannerisms, speech type, personality, etc. Also, this person may let off pheromones that grate against your physical makeup. It has been proven that genetic makeup decides individual body odors, and maybe hers is not compatible to you. Try to watch this person for a little while and see if anything that they do or say rubs you wrong. Then decide if the things that bothered you were your normal pet peeves or something unnamed. Good luck. Sometimes it just isn't meant to be.

I wouldn't exactly say just female, Lots of people judge by not
really knowing the person , place or thing at all.
Not to like at the beginning then only to find out later on they like or even love this person , place or thing.
I think it's in a bit of all of us.

I used to be an RA at a Women's dorm. There was an incredible amount of drama and friction. We used to say it was because of the large amount of estrogen in the building. LOL
