My wife is divorcing me, and I would like to work on our marriage, whenever I chase, she runs. Whenever I pull back she comes looking where I am. We have kids and I can't avoid her completely. I am Praying, and trying to do the right things.... Whenever I ask for space she thinks I'm fighting her and wanting it over, which isn't the case, I just want to breath sometimes. I love my wife.

i don't consider marriage as something to ever give up on. the two of you made a decision together to get married for whatever reasons you had and marriage takes work. and trying to save a marriage is even harder. if you need space in this process it is only fair that you get it. don't tell her you need space though. tell her there is something you have to take care of or something you have to do and in a few days you'll be back or done with it or whatever.

If you want some space then do not divorce her... Seek counseling and help for your marriage in this case. Let her know that you still love her and that you want some space at times. why is she divorcing you if i may ask? You both need marriage counseling if this marriage is gonna work out at all.

Pull back and let her come to you.When she does, tell her its time to go to a marriage counselor,tell her to pick one out so she will think she is stacking the deck in her favor.Chances are the counselor (and they know to do this) will hear BOTH sides and deal honestly with both of you.You will BOTH have to be honest with yourselves and be willing to change.If she refuses to do this, just tell her not to bother you again until she is willing to go to one, that you will deal with her when it comes to the kids and thats it.
