The cashier at the drive thru window just gave you $1.00 too much back with your change and you already pulled away from the window - what would you do??

I would circle around and run it in and tell them what had happened and give it back. To all of you that would just keep it. What would you like the cashier to do if they knew you had over payed and you didn't realize it? Would you want them to let you know? I bet you would! If it's someone else's money you don't care. That's messed up!

First I would Double check to make sure they gave me too much change. If I was sure, I would go inside, have the manager call an employee meeting, and make sure the cashier was fired. That kind of thing just drives up prices for all of us, just kidding, I probably wouldn't notice.

If I wasn't already on the street driving away, I might stop and take it back.
I used to work as a waitress and somebody walked away with 100 dollars in their pocket after my mistake. They never came back. I still remember how terrible I felt and I'd never do that to anyone on purpose, even if it was just one dollar.

Honestly, I would keep it, because it would cost at least a dollar's worth of gas to drive back thru - why should I lose $?

keep it. it's only a dollar. they have a certain amount they are allowed to be over and under. i would hope that the cashier realizes their mistake and they don't do it again. if it was like 5-20 dollars, i would park my car and go inside to give it to them. they could get fired for that.

For once, I don't recognize this song at all, so I'll have to say if they were nice to me, I would just stop the car where it is and give it back so they don't get in trouble.
Sure I'd get honks, but it only takes a sec.
