I think the stain is some sort of sugar. It smells sweet.

I would use oxyclean. It gets out everything. Also, for extra tough stains . . . I take an old toothbrush and spray the stain with Spray and Wash and work in the oxyclean so it is like a white paste.

Polyester fabrics containing polyester fibers have a strong affinity for oily substances. Wash oily stains as soon as you notice them. Try rubbing them with a wet bar of hand soap, then with a wet towel followed by rinsing. Unfortunately, even quick attention may not result in satisfactory stain removal.
Reading anything that is sweet, I see they use Ammonia 1Tablespoon to 1/2cup water.or Vinegar 1/3 cup to 2/3 cups of water, they use those for Fruit Juices, honey.jams & jellies etc.

polyester is very easy to clean. just use Shout directly on the spot. rub gently and wash as usual

Wash it according to the instructions on the tag. Use shout & rub it in with a toothbrush.

I always take it 1 step farther spray it inside and outside works the fibers better!

Use something like Shout or Spray and Wash. That should work.
