I think it was from the 70's and it might have been rated "R" if they had ratings back then.

'The Last House On The Left' was Wes Craven's directorial debut. It is considered a cult classic and I suggest anyone who loves horror to own a copy. Not for the weaked. One of the killers is named 'Kruge' so when Craven did the first 'Elm Street' he named that killer 'Kruger' in a homage to the killer from his first movie. Also, the music that plays throughout (and songs) were used again by Eli Roth for his movie, 'Cabin Fever' as a homage to 'Last House' & Craven. There is a rated R version but is very rare to find, I think. The original version was rated x and the dvd version I have is Unrated. 'The Last House On The Left' has it's stereotypes-to-come but is also not your average slasher movie. However, if you'll notice, everytime they show a shot of the mailbox & driveway, it's really the last house on the RIGHT! LOL! Go Figure :-)
