more and more talk on local right leaning radio call in shows about a coming civil war in america
I don't believe there has ever more hate between the right and left....
My question is what do you think the possibility is of it actually happening?

As much as government, all branches, are so ineffective in governing the country, I do not see any possibilities of a civil war in the U.S.A. There are still a very few men and women in the government and the military to make sure that the constitution will be enforced. I just wish that the law breakers in any level will not be let off, if nothing more than a banishment from the United States of America.

Slim to none. The gov't would have to start imposing the will of the "right" or the "left" before there would be a revolt.

Here are some reasons I would believe would start a civil war,

1) The Feds trying to over step their boundaries on State's rights.

2) The Blue/Red states trying to impose their beliefs on the opposite states.

3) The Blue/Red states trying to change the laws so that they would stay in power.

Come to think of it, it sure sounds like the reasons for the 1st Civil War.

Consider the source you cite. That's really all that needs to be said. If it's the size of a mosquito they'll call it a bird. If it's the size of a Volkwagon, they'll call it a Hummer. Yes, we are divided in this country, but it's not an equal division. There's about 70% of us that are fed up with this Administration's incompetence. The other 30% are drinking the kool-aid the right wing pundits come up with everyday to stroke them and make them feel like it's all just okey-dokey-fine, Bush has got it all under control, and it's those damn liberals who are really making all the trouble. Hmm...70% of the American people are liberals? Now THAT'S news.

I always listen to talk radio and I have heard no such thing. Could it be one particular host?

The possibility of it happening is zero. If you wish to worry about something the focus right now is on radical fundamentalist Islamic terrorists. Don't take your eye off the ball.

Not everybody in America sides with either the Republicans or the Democrats. Both parties are polar opposites. A huge chunk of Americans are "middle of the road", think they are BOTH crazy, and don't support either of them..There would never be enough approval for that to happen.

Don't believe everything you hear, especially on talk radio. Don't believe everything you see, especially here. There will be no civil war, relax.

the gun hating liberals dont stand a chance.not that it will ever happen.the left leaning news shows such as cnn and headline news and all local news channels cant stand it that the right actually have one station that leans toward the middle and they still have all other networks that lean far left.. its sickening.. leave our one station alone.

If it didn't happen back in the late 60s, then it's not going to happen. The libs will come around and see the trouble they're stirring up. You'll see.

I agree with Leogirl. The conservative have all the guns and assult weapons... I with them.

It won't become violent, just tied up in court cases.
