Let me explain.
I am Mexican and I have talked to a person from the States for over two years. And there is a chance to meet her in person soon. But since we both have different cultures, what would be the right way to greet her?

In Mexico we greet people that are close to us by shaking hands and a kiss in the cheek, and sometimes a hug...but in the States??

Just shake hands and say Hello, how are you, it's so nice to finally meet you. Most of us do not kiss and hug someone we are meeting for the first time, but then again, you have been writing and friends as pen pals for quite some time, so this rule may not apply to you. Why don't you take your direction from her? Hope you have a great time. Welcome.

I think your greeting will be fine. A kiss on the cheek is not lecherous... well, long as you don't have a hand on her a** at the same time it isn't. A hug would be sweet, again, as long as you keep your hands above the waistline, lol! Don't worry about it, you'll know what to do when the occasion arrises. :)

For heaven's sake don't say Howdy Pardner or Put 'er there to a woman you're meeting for the first time in person, you'll just sound like a big ole dork!

If you have been talking for two years, I think a hug would be alright I would not go for a kiss on the cheek though

You can greet someone in much the same manner as you mention, depending on how close you feel. Don't get your hopes too high though. Internet communication leads to a lot of false plans.

Kissing someone you're not in a relationship with is either lecherous (if the opposite sex) or gay (if the same sex).
The proper way of greeting a person in America is to shake their hand (with a firm grip) and say something like "howdy partner" or "put it there buddy".
If you're talking to a lady call her ma'am.

in case you be conscious of her nicely sufficient, a hug is robust. yet in case you attempt to kiss her she will be in a position to likely be bowled over, in view that we frequently in person-friendly words greet companions/kin/very close associates that way.
